Our Ways of Working

Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, leverage AI to amplify our impact, and achieve results—together, from anywhere.

This hybrid role is home-based with about 50% travel to our Columbus, OH Fulfillment Center and, over time, to future sites that may be West Coast based. Open nationwide, with Midwest/East Coast locations preferred for easier travel

What the Role Is

As Manager, Continuous Improvement, you'll drive operational transformation across Babylist’s fulfillment and logistics network—starting with our flagship fulfillment center in Commercial Point, Ohio. This role sits on the Supply Chain Strategy team, focused not just on improving today’s operations but designing systems and processes that support 20–40%+ future volume growth as Babylist continues to scale.

You’ll spend time both on the warehouse floor and in the data, diagnosing operational friction and redesigning workflows across inbound freight, warehouse operations, and outbound parcel shipping. A typical week might include walking the FC to observe pick/pack or receiving workflows, analyzing productivity or parcel cost data in Excel and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Sigma), and partnering with Product and Engineering teams to embed operational improvements directly into Babylist’s internal systems and tools.

This role requires a rare blend of warehouse operational intuition, analytical rigor, and technology partnership. You'll identify root causes of inefficiency, prioritize initiatives based on ROI and scalability, and build improvement roadmaps that solve for where the business will be in a year—not just where it is today. Unlike traditional CI roles that focus on incremental improvements, this position is about structural change and long-term operational design.

If you've worked in high-growth DTC e-commerce environments, enjoy walking into messy operational problems and building a clear improvement roadmap from scratch, and love bridging the gap between warehouse operations and technology, this role will energize you. The position is home-based with approximately 50% travel to our Commercial Point fulfillment center and future network locations.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years improving warehouse operations, transportation, or fulfillment processes in high-volume direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce environments

  • Proven ability to independently identify operational problems, prioritize opportunities using data, and build a roadmap for continuous improvement initiatives

  • Strong experience working directly with warehouse operations teams (inbound, outbound, returns, or transportation) in fulfillment environments shipping thousands of orders daily

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (large dataset analysis, pivot tables, operational modeling) plus experience building dashboards or analyzing operational data in PowerBI, Tableau, or Sigma

  • Experience working with warehouse systems such as WMS (HighJump preferred), TMS, OMS, and parcel shipping platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to translate operational insights into technology-enabled solutions, partnering with Product or Engineering teams to embed process improvements into systems, tools, or data workflows

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies — able to apply the principles even if you don't hold formal certifications

  • Comfortable spending time both on the warehouse floor and in analytical work, diagnosing operational issues through observation, data analysis, and stakeholder conversations

  • Strong relationship builder who can earn trust from warehouse floor teams while influencing senior stakeholders to drive change

  • Thrives in high-growth scale-up environments (vs highly structured enterprise environments) where you build processes from scratch and operate without rigid playbooks

  • Comfortable working in hybrid environments, including travel to fulfillment centers (~50%) and collaboration with distributed teams across supply chain, product, and engineering

  • You're comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations. You embrace technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center.

How You Will Make An Impact

    • Own continuous improvement initiatives across inbound freight, fulfillment operations, and outbound parcel shipping—identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing scalable process improvements

    • Analyze operational performance data (receiving throughput, dwell times, pick productivity, parcel cost per order, delivery speed) to identify root causes and prioritize improvement opportunities

    • Build and maintain data-driven CI roadmaps that focus on long-term operational scalability, designing solutions that support projected 20–40%+ volume growth

    • Partner closely with warehouse leadership and frontline teams to observe workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements that increase productivity and reduce cost

    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and internal technology teams to translate operational needs into system enhancements across WMS, TMS, and internal tooling

    • Lead structured improvement projects—from problem definition and analysis to implementation and performance measurement—ensuring operational changes deliver measurable ROI

    • Support broader supply chain strategy initiatives, including warehouse network scaling, automation opportunities, and future operational infrastructure decisions

    • Establish clear KPIs and performance dashboards that increase operational visibility and help leadership make data-driven decisions

    • Drive adoption of new processes and tools through effective change management with warehouse teams and cross-functional stakeholders
