As the Manager, Sales Development, you’ll lead a group of Sales Professionals who stand as the front line of our well-established Sales Organization. The LDR and BDR teams are directly responsible for a very large piece of Five9’s Revenue - we’re looking for someone who can dive headfirst into this incredible role and help us continue our exponential revenue growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Recruit, hire, train and manage a world class team of Inbound Lead Development Representatives and Outbound Business Development Representatives across the Five9 Sales Organization Manage day to day operations (teaching, coaching, fixing bottlenecks)
- Create new trainings to teach our team new skills that will help them succeed in this role and their entire career
- Be very comfortable in the ability to use data to back decisions and initiatives
- Monitor and analyze inbound lead processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the LDR/BDR teams - challenge the status quo, we can always improve!
- Inspire and motivate the team to create an environment of openness, creativity, comfortability, and continuous improvement
- Work cross functionally with Sales Management, Sales Operations, Demand Generation, and Marketing
You Might Be A Fit If:
- 4+ years of experience exceeding goals in a quota carrying prospecting and closing Sales Role
- 1+ year(s) of experience directly managing is encouraged (SaaS is preferred)
- You have proven experience – and passion for – coaching, motivating, and growing the ability of those around you
- You are a self-starter with the ability to quickly identify problems and come up with solutions.
- You take ownership - comfortable with defining goals, success factors, key metrics for programs, and delivering against them
- Strong experience running experiments (A/B testing methodology) in order to continuously improve our processes
- Strong Knowledge of SFDC - Reporting, SFDC workflow management, etc.
- You have experience selling a technical product or possess the aptitude to quickly learn this
- You are able to work hybrid (3 days per week) onsite in San Francisco or San Ramon locations
Work Location: This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office is required.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
