That's where you come in.
As a key member of the Riftbound team, you’ll be hands-on with the TCG’s core content—reviewing localized card sets, flavor text, rules documentation, and UI across multiple languages. You’ll own LQA test planning, partner with internal teams and vendors, and help shape scalable processes that ensure players get an authentic and consistent experience, wherever they play.
You’ll operate independently within your craft, while building tight loops with Design, Narrative, QA, and Localization. This role is a fit for someone who thrives on complex systems, finds satisfaction in getting the details right, and knows how much a misplaced keyword or mistranslation can affect gameplay.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute end-to-end LQA test coverage for new card sets, game updates, and live content across supported languages
- Validate gameplay-critical text for functionality, consistency, clarity, and IP alignment
- Identify bugs that impact game mechanics, onboarding, or competitive fairness
- Maintain and evolve style guides, termbases, and LQA reference docs in collaboration with Riot’s Loc and Narrative teams
- Provide clear, actionable bug reports in JIRA or relevant systems
- Track quality metrics and surface risks early in the release cycle
- Support vendor QA management and help streamline handoff between internal and external teams
- Proactively suggest improvements to localization QA processes, tools, and pipelines
- Collaborate closely with QA, Localization, Narrative, and Design to ensure our global card content holds up at launch and in live
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in English, with native or near-native fluency in Chinese (Simplified or Traditional)
- 3–5 years of experience in localization QA, linguistic QA, or game QA—preferably on live or systems-heavy games; PhD with equivalent practical experience also welcome
Experience reviewing gameplay-relevant content (rules, systems text, UI copy, or VO)
- Strong knowledge of LQA testing methods, localization pipelines, and language quality standards
- Familiarity with CAT tools, bug tracking (JIRA), version control (Git), and localization platforms
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working on TCGs or other rules-heavy, text-dense genres
- Familiarity with League of Legends IP and its localization history
- Experience working with vendors or managing multi-language QA efforts
- Previous work in regulatory LQA (e.g., age rating compliance, culturalization)
