The Role:
The Localisation Team is a multicultural and complementary team of Localisation Program Managers passionate about building a quality native experience for users all over the world.
You will be responsible for handling a variety of localisation projects and optimizing processes to ensure a balance of end quality, speed of delivery, cost and partner happiness. This role reports to the Technical Program Manager - Principal.
Localisation Program Managers at OpenTable own project handling, delivery, workflow and quality optimization for a specific business area, working in close collaboration with the relevant teams across the business.
An analytical mind, effective communication, outstanding project management and problem solving skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of localisation and internationalization are important to this role.
Main responsibilities
- Lead projects and workflows end-to-end to deliver high quality localisation for a variety of business functions and content streams
- Ensure localization requests are delivered on time and to quality standards
- Facilitate kickoff and debrief meetings if vital for larger projects
- Coordinate quality checks on delivered translations
- Supervise tools and workflows, report issues and drive improvements based on user feedback
- Identify and build tickets for localization issues, follow up on reported issues
- Coordinate LQA and support other quality-focused initiatives
- Respond to translators’ questions about specific projects
- Support the launch of new features or locales
- Update documentation on localization processes and ensure information is always complete and up to date
- Analyse current problems in workflows and tools, provide recommendations and implement scalable solutions
Please apply if:
- Minimum 4 years of localization project management experience
- Experience in localization and internationalization, client-side
- Experience with CAT tools
- Proven knowledge of localization standard methodologies
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong analytical skills and a phenomenal attention to detail
- Knowledge of multiple languages
- A high sense of ownership
- A growth mindset and an appetite for knowledge
Preferred skills
- Experience with LQA
- Experience with Machine Translation and post editing as part of localization workflows
- Experience with JIRA

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canada based role is $85,000-90,000 CAD.

This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
