Lead, Training & Ethics
at Chime
San Francisco, United States
About the role
If you’re passionate about shaping how people learn and bringing ethics to life across an organization, this role is for you!
We’re looking for a Training Lead to supercharge our Governance program, with a focus on compliance training and ethics. In this role, you’ll grow and scale a dynamic training program that not only identifies the right topics but also delivers them in fresh, creative ways. Your mission: to equip Chimers with the knowledge and confidence to build member-focused products and experiences that truly make a difference.
In addition to leading training, you’ll also help carry out key responsibilities of Chime’s Ethics Program—including evaluating conflicts of interest disclosures, supporting escalations or investigations, and ensuring our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics standards are upheld in everything we do.
You’ll partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and People teams to weave ethical decision-making and compliance standards into our culture, products, and operations. By driving engaging, high-impact initiatives, you’ll help strengthen Chime’s culture of integrity, regulatory excellence, and risk awareness—while ensuring we deliver on our commitments to members, partners, and regulators.
At the end of the day, your work will empower millions of members to bank better—with trust, transparency, and confidence at the core.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $130,050.00 and up to $180,600.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Grow and scale Chime’s training program by identifying priority training topics and delivering them in engaging, creative ways.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and People teams to embed ethics and compliance into product design, policies, and daily operations.
- Evaluate and manage conflicts of interest disclosures to ensure transparency and integrity across the organization.
- Uphold Chime’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics standards through proactive education, monitoring, and escalation support.
- Collaborate with leaders to ensure ethical decision-making frameworks are consistently applied across Chime.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to measure training completion, comprehension, and program impact.
- Support supervisory exams, regulatory reviews, and partner due diligence by demonstrating strong governance, training, and ethics program coverage.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 3-5 or more years of experience covering asset management or banking compliance, internal audit or equivalent experience.
- Independently led department-wide projects and delivered desired results.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and systems for reporting data in an easy-to-comprehend fashion
- Demonstrate advisory and experience with consumer laws and regulations related to consumer financial products including but not limited to, the Truth In Lending Act (Regulation Z), Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Regulation E), and Truth in Savings Act (Regulation DD),
- A desire to collaborate and have the ability to influence both your colleagues and external partners to achieve consensus on regulatory risk issues and appropriate mitigation.
