About the role

We're looking for a Lead Analyst to join our Global Commerce team. You will combine consumer and industry insights, financial analysis, royalty management, and strategic support to achieve growth. Reporting to the VP of Strategy and Development, Global Commerce, you'll drive strategies that deliver the products anime fans want and love.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will use data to guide sales, promotions, and product assortments that delight fans
  • You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting
  • You will analyze industry, retail, and consumer trends to uncover opportunities for growth
  • You will work with account teams to turn insights into strategies that enhance the fan experience
  • You will track account and sublicensee performance and identify growth opportunities
  • You will manage royalty reporting, contract reviews, and compliance
  • You will improve reporting, processes, and forecasting tools to better serve fans

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because you're analytical, strategic, and collaborative. You care about delivering value to fans and excel at solving complex problems.

  • 12+ years in Finance, Accounting, or business analytics in the entertainment industry, including work with consumer products or merchandise licensing for fan-focused products
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office (Excel), Salesforce, NetSuite, Google Suite, RightsLine
  • Experience using consumer insights data to guide business decisions
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with merchandise and promotional licensing contracts
  • Understanding of international licensing and royalty structures
  • Background in anime or Japanese entertainment is a plus
  • Proven track record of process improvement and automation

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
