About the Role
This is a 6 month temporary full-time position with full benefits and potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Partner with business and engineering teams to deliver fast, high‑quality technical support across macOS, Linux, and Windows while helping maintain and scale our core IT infrastructure and collaboration stack.
About the Work
- Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours or occasional abnormal‑shift coverage as needed
- Deliver responsive Tier 1/2 support for macOS, Linux, and Windows, including hardware, OS, and application troubleshooting
- Own end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding: workstation preparation (imaging/builds), application installation/configuration, account provisioning/deprovisioning, email distribution list management, access grants/revocations, and software license administration
- Support network setup and structured cabling; diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity issues
- Configure and support conference room AV and collaboration systems (VoIP phones, TVs, Google Meet, Zoom)
- Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle tracking for IT assets; ensure timely updates and assignment integrity
- Perform routine maintenance and administration of network and server systems across office and data center environments
- Document incidents, resolutions, and runbooks; contribute to the knowledge base to improve first‑contact resolution and overall quality
- Support IT financial operations, including procurement and contract management
- Our Tech Stack
- Identity/Access: Okta (SSO/MFA, lifecycle, groups); basic directory services
- Productivity/Collaboration: Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Slack, Zoom/Google Meet
- Endpoint Management: Kandji/IRU (macOS), PDQ (Windows), KACE SMA (Ubuntu)
- Ticketing/Knowledge: Jira Service Management; Confluence or similar for KB/runbooks
- Automation/Scripting: Bash/zsh, Python, Ansible
- Networking/AV: TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLAN fundamentals; conference room systems (Google Meet and Zoom)
- SaaS Management: License/usage tooling (e.g., Zylo)
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Information Systems, or 2–4 years of relevant IT support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS, Linux, and Windows environments
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and directory services
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., shell scripts, command‑line tools, or Ansible)
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with a strong customer service orientation
- Proven problem‑solving ability and a self‑directed approach to learning new tools and concepts quickly
- Ability to handle multiple, often urgent, requests simultaneously while meeting defined SLAs
- Collaborate effectively with IT teammates to resolve complex issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Bonus Points
- Hands‑on admin experience with Okta (lifecycle management, group policies) and Google Workspace
- Hands-on experience with Kandji/IRU, KACE SMA, or other MDM solutions, including policy design, packaging, and deployment
- Prior experience across mixed office, lab, and data center environments
- Demonstrated improvements to help desk KPIs - First Contact Resolution (FCR) and Mean Time to Repair/Resolve (MTTR) - through automation and high‑quality knowledge base content
At Nuro, your annualized base pay is one part your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $96,210 and $130,280 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
