The Host Pricing UI Foundations team owns a versatile toolset that helps hosts to customize and optimize availability, pricing, discounts and cancellation policy settings. These critical tools support hosts in long term planning and maintaining control over their pricing and property usage.  We strive to provide a centralized, insightful toolset that helps hosts maximize their Airbnb offering and revenue outcomes.

The Community You Will Join:

The Host Pricing UI Foundations team is looking for an iOS Engineer to help us craft the next generation of tools for Airbnb hosts. We create tools that help our hosts run their business, giving them insights to help them better price their properties that hopefully lead to better returns. As an iOS Software Engineer working in the Host Pricing UI Foundations team, you will help create the next generation of tools and features to help hosts run their business day-to-day.

Collaborate within the team and with cross-functional partners such as Experience Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to design and deliver high-quality products on iOS. Build efficient and reusable mobile components and implement reliable, performant, and scalable mobile solutions. Contribute to an inclusive and engaging team environment that fosters learning and growth. Identify areas of improvement and drive mobile best practices.

A typical day

• Collaborate with other product engineers and partners to develop Host pricing and availability functionality and surface insights / analytics
• Hands on develop, working with teams on edge solutions to problems that come about when developing at scale
• Contribute to the delivery of significant components and platform requirements in collaboration with engineers and architects
• Work with product and design partners to explore problem spaces and devise solutions to customer problems; recognize technical challenges in the early stages and collaborate closely with the team.
• Identify areas of improvement and drive mobile best practices

Your expertise

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent professional experience
• 2 to 4 years’ experience developing iOS applications at scale with a high volume of users with an eye for visual details
• Expertise in Swift or Objective-C, UIKit, and SwiftUI, as well as knowledge of UI architecture and UI performance.
• You possess strong product sense and a passion for UI and UX product development and can effectively communicate with non-technical partners
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data and other iOS, Android, and Web Engineers in a fast-paced environment
• You’re passionate about continuous learning and innovation in the mobile industry
• Sound engineering and coding skills. Understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming. Experience with iOS app performance optimization & metrics
• Experience with leveraging AI tools and platforms is a plus

Your location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
