We’re hiring an Internal Communications Specialist at our headquarters in New York City to help teams share information across the company as we continue to scale globally. We’re seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual with exceptional writing and editing skills, looking to work in a fun, fast-paced, and innovative workplace. As part of the broader People Team, you will make a companywide impact by managing tools, channels, and processes that keep your “packmates” in-the-know, and help to strengthen Datadog’s distinctive company culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead content creation for our internal news channels and intranet, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and engaging.
  • Partner with IT, Learning & Development, Benefits, and other teams to craft and distribute communications that reach the right audiences.
  • Manage the production and execution of our quarterly town hall meetings.
  • Update and oversee our internal platforms, including Bits of Info (intranet) and digital signage.
  • Moderate companywide email distribution lists to maintain clarity and reduce noise.
  • Identify, test, and implement new tools and AI applications to improve communications programs.
  • Coach colleagues on communication best practices and Datadog’s editorial style.
  • Support ad hoc communications projects and campaigns.

Who You Are:

  • You want to work for a tech company that’s growing quickly, and where every day feels purposeful.
  • You are an exceptional writer and editor with a sharp eye for detail.
  • You measure success through data and analytics to continually improve communication effectiveness.
  • You are experienced and/or curious about using new tools and technologies to share news, stories, and information
  • You have experience working with senior executives, C-suite leaders, or similar
  • You are organized and possess strong project management and time management skills.
  • You are a skilled presenter and can represent complex ideas effectively to a variety of audiences
  • You have a critical eye for visual design; it’s helpful but not required to have experience with graphic design, video editing, or similar.
  • Also nice but not required: experience with Confluence, Jira, Adobe Creative Suite, Generative AI, and Google Workspace.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

$90,000$130,000 USD
