Creating long-term value for our users is central to our mission at Stripe. The GTM Industries team focuses on identifying, developing, and accelerating growth opportunities in high growth and high potential industries, as well as nascent and rapidly evolving industries and sub-sectors.
We position Stripe at the forefront of these industries, driving innovation and creating new revenue streams for our customers. We focus on building Stripe's expertise and business development within cutting-edge industry verticals, while delivering credibility & thought leadership needed to build relationships with industry senior executives, leaders and entrepreneurs.
Within this Industries team, and aligned with our global and regional GTM and Product teams, the High Growth Industries GTM Lead defines and brings to market relevant propositions and value-centric solutions to accelerate growth in our highest potential industries, supporting our users, and generating new sources of value for both users and Stripe.
What you'll do
As a key member of the Global GTM Industries team, you will develop and execute GTM strategies for a selection of high growth industries where Stripe has the biggest opportunity, the highest product market fit, and outsized commercial traction.
You will provide the industry foresight needed to define and articulate the value of Stripe's solutions, and deliver a plan to build awareness and credibility of Stripe in these industries. With an ability to quickly develop credible expertise and new knowledge on key sectors, technologies and business models, you will bring credibility when engaging with decision making executives, innovative startups, disruptive enterprises, and thought leaders.
You will collaborate with core sales, marketing, product marketing, and product teams to embed this industry knowledge internally and support account teams with messaging, content, events, and thought leadership to drive strategic deals in these focus sectors. You will be instrumental in building comprehensive industry solutions, creating compelling content assets, and leading strategic product discussions with existing and prospective customers – developing and executing against our go-to-market strategy for high growth industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive industry solution strategies, content, and assets for a selection of targeted high-growth industries
- Create industry-specific value propositions, case studies, reference architectures, and sales enablement materials that demonstrate Stripe's expertise and solutions
- Build product market fit assessment frameworks and maturity scoring models for industry verticals to guide strategic investments
- Design and create industry playbooks and lead enablement sessions for sales teams to effectively target and engage prospects
- Represent Stripe at select, strategic industry events and forums, providing thought leadership on emerging trends
- Support account teams in developing target lists, prospecting, pipeline creation, and revenue generation by developing compelling industry narratives and executive-level presentations
- Serve as both an internal and customer-facing expert, staying ahead of global industry trends, technology developments, and competitive dynamics
- Conduct ongoing research on emerging industry trends to inform GTM strategy, product-market fit, and marketing campaigns
- Build strong relationships with regional sales leaders to drive strategic account planning and engagements
- Develop industry ecosystem maps to identify strategic targets across direct enterprise and platform approaches
Who you are
The Global GTM High Growth Industries Lead will be a strategic professional with strong business acumen, solution development expertise, and go-to-market knowledge. You have a proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on high-impact industry and technology trends.
You are an expert in analyzing and understanding industries and have worked with innovative enterprises, technology platforms or as a consultant in cutting-edge sectors. You are capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization.
This person will have strong capability in solution definition, excellent communication skills (can clearly describe strategy and drill into tactics), and the ability to interact with all functions, disciplines, and levels in the organization.
You are used to building value in undefined and competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge. You're as comfortable creating compelling content assets as you are working with visionary clients and internal stakeholders. You're excited to become an expert in emerging fields and to share your knowledge.
You're an organized self-starter, an excellent communicator who is highly analytical and has a track record for improving the processes and organizations around you. You like to roll up your sleeves and make things happen!
Minimum requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology, consulting, or related roles with a focus on deep industry knowledge and a track record of identifying high-growth opportunities and solutions
- Proven ability to develop comprehensive industry solutions, content assets, and go-to-market strategies
- Strong understanding of financial technology and its applications across various industries
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple stakeholders
- Experience in defining user needs and translating those needs into solutions and GTM strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development and content creation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop industry maturity models and derive actionable insights
- A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships and influence outcomes with business partners
- An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Comfortable with increasing your productivity further with AI-tooling
- Ability to travel approximately 20% for strategic industry events, customer meetings, and internal planning sessions
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or business development role
- Prior experience creating industry solutions and enablement materials
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
