Key Responsibilities
- Work in compliance with company financial policies and regulations.
- Analyzing all billing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Preparing, issuing, and sending invoices.
- Reviewing invoices to ensure billing accuracy.
- Reconciling with balance sheet reports and resolving any discrepancies.
- Communicating with clients, vendors and other departments, resolving issues, and providing clarifications.
- Maintaining updated records of accounts receivable.
- Assist with client account reconciliations.
- Support monthly and quarterly audits and clean ups.
- Fix any billing problems or errors.
- Apply customer payments accurately and timely, ensuring proper allocation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues, and provide necessary clarifications.
- Maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivable and customer account activity.
- Assist with client account reconciliations, identifying and correcting variances as needed.
- Support monthly account reconciliations and General Ledger (GL) activities.
- Contribute to cash collections forecasting by analyzing payment trends and historical data.
- Conduct collection activities, including client communication, payment follow-ups, issue resolution, and documentation of all collection efforts in line with company procedures.
- Review customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition and rebate application, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and accounting standards.
- Support revenue operations by analyzing sales data, validating billing accuracy, monitoring revenue streams, and assisting with month-end close activities.
- Prepare and distribute reports to different departments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Actively participate in month-end close processes, ensuring all billing and revenue data is complete and accurate.
- Provide support for the expense management system (Expensify & Navan or similar).
- Assist employees with expense reports, reimbursements, and system inquiries.
- Generate and analyze T&E reports.
- Ensure compliance with expense policies.
Must-have Skills
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of prior experience as a Billing or Revenue Analyst, or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced abilities with Excel.
- Netsuite knowledge (preferred).
- Experience with Expensify or other expense management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Show adaptability and a proactive mindset by handling additional responsibilities and responding to changing business demands.
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Interest or experience in optimizing and enhancing billing or revenue processes through system improvements or automation.
