About the teams

Finance & Strategy: Partners with senior leadership to inform strategy, long-range planning, and resource allocation. Work emphasizes strategic financial analysis, business modeling, and cross-functional partnership to influence product roadmap and go-to-market decisions.

Treasury Finance: Focuses on the company’s liquidity, cash management, capital allocation, capital markets, and financial operations. Work emphasizes cash forecasting, banking relationships, product development, risk and compliance considerations, and operational reporting that supports corporate treasury activities.

What you’ll do

We're looking for students who want to deliver an outsized impact while accelerating their growth in a fast paced dynamic environment.  This program is designed for students who are in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field who are eager to apply their classroom learning in practice at an industry leader in the Fintech space.  

Our goal is to grow the GDP of the internet. As a Stripe Finance intern, you'll be tackling important projects to increase global commerce, while working alongside exceptional people who insist on doing their best work of their careers.

Interns will be involved in and support various activities which include: planning, complex modeling (financial and cash-flow), process automation, bank and treasury reporting, and  building materials for our senior leadership as well as working individually or in a group setting on a case study project that you will present to your team and the wider org.  The work will also involve collaboration with cross functional stakeholders, such as strategy and operations, sales, engineering, accounting and other teams across the finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your financial background to build financial and cash-flow analysis to drive insights and recommendations to business partners
  • Build and use AI tools, google sheets. SQL to assist with analysis, improve process efficiencies and automation
  • Build and track metrics and leading indicators of business and liquidity performance
  • Assist in analysis and presentation of strategic materials and treasury reporting for key management meetings
  • Ship a case study project

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Finance or a related field
  • Able to commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2026 [June-August]
  • Graduation date of December 2026 through June 2027
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • A proven ability to be a self starter capable of driving results
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
  • Strong knowledge of GSuite tools, Salesforce and MS-Office products and experience working with/analyzing contracts and large data sets using SQL

You will also likely have (not required):

  • Experience with Anaplan, SQL, Python or a willingness to learn
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding such as PowerBi or Tableau

Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
