The Role

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to our CEO. This role is central to helping our CEO operate at her best—keeping priorities clear, the schedule running smoothly, and communication flowing effectively.

The right person is highly organized, professional, and proactive, but also kind, approachable, and adaptable to our culture. You’ll thrive if you’re equally comfortable managing complex logistics and jumping into unexpected situations with good humor and grace.  

What You’ll Do

• Manage the CEO’s calendar, inbox, travel, and day-to-day logistics with efficiency and discretion.
• Prioritize and manage a high volume of requests, ensuring the CEO’s time aligns with company goals.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between the CEO and internal teams, external partners, and board members.
• Anticipate needs, flag priorities, and ensure follow-through on action items.
• Coordinate and prepare for meetings, including agendas, briefing materials, and follow-ups.
• Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
• Help maintain a positive, collaborative, and quirky team culture—even when things get busy.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives (startup or tech experience a plus).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters.
• A proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs and takes initiative.
• Flexible, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A kind, collaborative personality who embraces Descript’s fun, weird, and creative culture.
• Ability to be in-office 2–3 days per week.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000- $190,000/year. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and may vary from the amount above.
