The Opportunity
Okta is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Product Management to lead the product strategy and execution for our groundbreaking new product, "Okta for AI Agents." As the leader of this team, you will be at the forefront of a major technology transformation, defining how enterprises secure and govern the rapidly growing landscape of artificial intelligence. This is a rare opportunity to own a v1 product in a nascent market and shape the future of identity security.

The Team
The Okta for AI Agents team is a dynamic, fast-paced group of product managers, engineers, and designers passionate about solving the complex challenges of securing AI. We are a highly collaborative team that works closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to build innovative solutions that address the most pressing security and governance needs of the modern enterprise.

What you'll be doing:
  • Own the Vision and Strategy: Define and evangelize the product vision and multi-year strategy for Okta for AI Agents. You will be responsible for understanding the market, identifying key customer needs, and translating those into a compelling product roadmap.
  • Drive Product Execution: Lead the product management team to deliver on the roadmap, from initial concept to launch and beyond. You will work closely with engineering, design, and product marketing to ensure that we are building the right product and bringing it to market effectively.
  • Engage with Customers and Partners: Be the voice of the customer internally. You will spend significant time with customers and partners to understand their needs, gather feedback, and validate our product direction.
  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Build and lead a high-performing team of product managers. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team, and creating a culture of innovation and execution.
  • Be a Cross-Functional Leader: Work closely with other product teams, as well as with sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure that Okta for AI Agents is successful in the market.

What you'll bring to the role:
• Extensive Product Management Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping successful enterprise SaaS products.
• Identity and Security Expertise: Deep knowledge of the identity and access management (IAM) space, including protocols like OAuth, SAML, and OIDC.
 Experience in enterprise security, including areas like Zero Trust, API security, and governance, is highly desirable.
• AI Acumen: A strong understanding of the AI landscape, including the different types of AI agents and the security challenges they present.
• Leadership and Team Building Skills: 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring product management teams. You should have a passion for building great teams and developing talent.
• Strategic Thinker: The ability to think strategically and develop a long-term vision, while also being able to execute on a near-term plan.
• Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, from engineers to executives to customers.
• Customer-Obsessed: A deep empathy for customers and a passion for building products that solve their problems.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$258,000$355,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington is between:
$230,000$317,000 USD
