ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director, Global Demand Planning & Forecasting is responsible for building and leading Juul Labs’ enterprise-wide demand planning capability—ensuring the organization has accurate, data-driven forecasts that integrate commercial strategy, market intelligence, and operational constraints. The Director role serves as the bridge between the commercial, operations, and finance functions, driving alignment on a single, consensus demand plan that enables efficient supply chain execution and informed investment decisions. This includes translating demand forecasts directly into revenue projections and financial plans, as well as providing critical inputs for managing cash outlay for inventory and operational expenditures.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Commercial Planning & PMO, the Director will oversee the global demand planning cycle, strengthen forecasting processes with advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools, and embed demand planning as a core driver of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This includes partnering with market and channel leaders to capture local intelligence, integrating promotional and NPI plans into rolling forecasts, and continuously improving forecast accuracy to reduce inventory risk and maximize sales opportunity.

The Director role will also champion the adoption of new planning technologies, analytical models, and governance routines to ensure that Juul Labs’ demand planning function is scalable, transparent, and responsive to changing market conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Global Demand Planning Process
    • Own and manage Juul Labs’ global demand planning calendar, ensuring forecasts are timely, complete, and aligned with commercial and operational objectives
    • Consolidate market-level forecasts into a single enterprise view that informs production, inventory, and financial planning. This includes a direct responsibility for modeling demand into a revenue forecast and providing critical data for capital expenditure planning
    • Partner with commercial leaders to translate business strategies, NPI launches, and promotional plans into measurable demand signals
  • Strengthen Forecasting Capabilities
    • Implement advanced analytics, statistical models, and AI-driven forecasting tools to improve accuracy and responsiveness
    • Partner with IT and analytics teams to enhance forecasting systems and data integration
    • Continuously refine planning parameters and inputs to ensure forecasts reflect real-time market and operational conditions
  • Integrate with the S&OP Process
    • Serve as the commercial lead for the demand review step of the S&OP process, ensuring that forecasts are vetted, risk-adjusted, and agreed upon across functions
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain to translate demand signals into production and replenishment plans
    • Work closely with Finance to align demand plans with revenue projections and budgeting cycles
  • Drive Forecast Accuracy & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor forecast accuracy at the market, SKU, and portfolio levels; identify drivers of variance and implement corrective actions
    • Develop and track KPIs to measure the health and effectiveness of the demand planning process
    • Share insights and lessons learned across markets to drive global consistency and best practice adoption
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
    • Facilitate regular demand planning meetings with market leaders, commercial teams, and operations stakeholders
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for demand-related inputs to major commercial decisions, portfolio strategies, and capacity planning discussions
    • Provide executive-ready updates on demand trends, risks, and opportunities
    • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning roles, preferably in CPG or regulated categories
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing global or multi-market forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in demand planning tools and statistical forecasting methods
  • Proven ability to collaborate across commercial, supply chain, and finance functions to drive alignment
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, Anaplan) and AI-enabled forecasting solutions preferred
  • Background in nicotine/tobacco or other regulated, high-scrutiny consumer sectors preferred
  • Experience embedding demand planning within a formal S&OP governance structure preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Master’s degree in Business is preferred

SALARY RANGES:
Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given
geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
