The Basics:
As a Demand Generation Manager, you will create and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive pipeline growth and accelerate sales opportunities. This role is highly collaborative, working across marketing, sales, and operations to deliver targeted programs that engage our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and core personas in IT Operations and Security Operations.
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
What you’ll do:
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Create and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging the most effective outbound channels, including:
- Content promotion (whitepapers, case studies, webinars, e-books)
- Email, drip, and lead nurturing campaigns
- Online and offline events (webinars, workshops, industry conferences)
- Account-based marketing (ABM) strategies for key accounts
- Develop messaging and content that resonates with target audiences and addresses their specific needs.
- Implement A/B testing and optimization techniques to improve campaign performance and conversion rates.
- Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Lead Management & Sales Alignment
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Sales teams to optimize lead qualification criteria and ensure alignment on MQL and SQL.
- Manage and optimize lead scoring and nurturing processes to efficiently move prospects through the funnel.
- Ensure seamless lead handoff and alignment on sales and marketing goals.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Define and track KPIs such as lead volume, lead quality, conversion rates, cost per lead, and ROI.
- Use marketing automation platforms and analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and generate actionable insights.
- Provide regular reports to Marketing leadership and Sales, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Editorial and Content team to develop high-quality, relevant content that supports demand generation efforts.
- Partner with Brand and Communications to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders about plans, progress, and results.
Technology & Tools
- Manage marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo) to automate and optimize processes.
- Work with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for lead management and pipeline tracking.
- Stay current on trends in AI/ML, marketing technology, and demand generation best practices.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B demand generation or integrated marketing, preferably in enterprise software or cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to execute multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable pipeline impact.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation, CRM systems, and attribution models.
- Experience with event marketing, email strategy, and paid media.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $210,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
