Key Responsibilities:
- Build dynamic, insight-driven Power BI dashboards with advanced DAX and custom KPIs.
- Use Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and model preparation.
- Apply strong data modeling practices (star schema, relationships, hierarchies) for scalable reporting.
- Write and optimize SQL queries across multiple platforms (SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Interpret and troubleshoot Python-based ETL scripts, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage access through Power BI workspace governance.
- Translate business questions into analytical solutions and clear visual storytelling.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, gaps, and ensure data accuracy.
Must-have Skills:
- 2–5 years of experience building data visualizations and analyzing business datasets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- Strong command of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), Data Modeling, Row-Level Security (RLS), Bookmarks, and Tooltips.
- Proficiency in SQL across platforms such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Databricks SQL.
- Experience with Python and ETL-related libraries: pandas, polars, json, SQLAlchemy, pyodbc, arm.
- Exposure to Python ETL frameworks or orchestration tools like Airflow, DBT, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks Workflows, etc.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional data teams.
Nice-to-have:
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Experience with enterprise-grade BI environments, including data refresh strategies and star / snowflake model optimization.
- Familiarity with data warehouse modeling and ETL monitoring dashboards.
- Knowledge of data quality, governance, and data cataloging practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
