What we are looking for:

At amp, we like to think of our Creative Strategists as sonic wizards: the people who can spot the path others can’t, and turn insight, culture and brand ambition into a clear creative direction.

As our Creative Strategist (m/w/d), you’ll be the strategic force behind our sonic branding work. You’ll help define how a brand should sound, why it should sound that way, and how that sound shows up consistently in the world. Part seer of insights, part connector of worlds, part orchestrator of experience — you bring clarity to complexity and give creative teams something strong to build from.

If brand thinking, creativity and music all living in the same sentence sounds like your thing, this could be your type of magic.

What you’ll do:

As our sonic wizard, you will:

  • Cast the strategic foundations for sonic branding projects using research, brand insight and market context
  • Read the signs in culture, trends and audience behaviour to uncover what really matters for a brand
  • Turn brand values, positioning and ambition into creative direction the team can run with
  • Shape the guiding framework for sonic identities so they support both brand and business goals
  • Work with the Creative team to define sonic principles and create guidelines for how a brand should sound across touchpoints
  • Help craft sonic identities that feel distinctive, consistent and unmistakably “them” wherever they appear
  • Join forces with Client Services, Creative and Research teams to test, refine and strengthen concepts
  • Present your strategic thinking to clients with clarity, confidence and a compelling story
  • Bring order to ambiguity, find the path through complexity and apply a little strategic alchemy when needed

What you’ll need:

Your spellbook should include:

  • Experience in brand strategy, creative strategy or a related field
  • Strong skills in research, insight generation and brand positioning
  • A talent for spotting patterns, connecting dots and turning complexity into clear direction
  • Great storytelling and presentation skills — you know how to make people see the magic in the thinking
  • Confidence with PowerPoint, Keynote or similar tools
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset and the ability to keep multiple projects moving
  • A collaborative approach — you’re good at bringing different people, disciplines and ideas into alignment
  • A calm, solutions-focused way of working, especially when the brief gets messy or the way forward isn’t obvious
  • Curiosity about music, sound, culture and emerging trends
  • A genuine interest in the intersection of sound, strategy and storytelling
  • Bonus points if you’ve already worked in sonic branding, music branding or other audio-led projects
