We are looking for a meticulous and passionate Art Project Manager, you will report to the Manager on Game Production. You will be the driving force in vendor sourcing and management. You’ll manage the daily relationship with multiple domestic and international vendors, ensuring clear communication, clean pipelines, and in-time deliveries. Your expertise in project management and your love for art will be essential in delivering exceptional work on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management of art outsource, from kickoff to final delivery in collaboration with the Art Director.
- Work with the Art Director to strategize around the outsourcing goal and build an actionable plan accordingly.
- Maintain and expand the vendor pool, support new vendor trials with clear kick-offs, documentation, and expectations.
- Develop detailed project delivery plans and track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Manage and coordinate the daily communication and facilitate effective communication between vendors and Art Director.
- Manage the feedback and approval process, ensuring clarity and constructive direction.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure vendors are set up with proper certification, tools, and invoicing systems, support contracts, invoices, and timecards for vendors.
- Implement and optimize project management tools (e.g., Trello, Airtable) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) for the art team.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience managing multiple art vendors or external partners.
- Strong communication skills across technical, artistic
- Experience with asset management and maintaining pipelines.
- Fluent in English speaking, native in Chinese speaking
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the games industry.
- Experience creating or integrating art in a production environment.
- Previous experience in outsourcing/vendor management on a shipped title.
- Positive track record of building vendor relationships and delivering at scale.
