About the Role
We're seeking a business-savvy storyteller to help us drive awareness, generate demand, and enhance prospects’ engagement with Samsara across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate for this role is an exceptional writer and editor who brings creative vision, strong project management, and has demonstrated success in creating and launching full-funnel content journeys.
At Samsara, our Content Marketers are storytellers who create high-quality content—from thought leadership to customer stories—that organically builds brand awareness to position Samsara as the top SaaS company in connected operations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to shape the narrative of our platform and all that it offers—bringing to life our customer stories and thought leadership for our EMEA audience.
In this role, you will:
- Generate ideas and write high-quality, thought-provoking content in various formats: videos, webinars, whitepapers, e-books, research reports, blog posts, SEO articles, and more.
- Execute content projects from start to finish, including:
- Project management (kickoff, timelines, review).
- Writing, researching (i.e. SEO keywords or subject matter), and editing content.
- Managing internal stakeholder input to ensure quality and alignment.
- Ensuring a robust distribution strategy for each content asset with particular emphasis on localised SEO and EMEA-specific channels.
- Reporting on KPIs and drawing key insights/takeaways on performance.
- Provide editorial expertise and content best practices to cross-functional partners across the marketing organisation.
- Develop audience-first content strategies for key EMEA programs that may or may not have an existing playbook.
- Create content for an enterprise, executive audience that will capture and keep attention.
- Research and test new content formats and channels to increase brand awareness and generate inbound leads.
- Define and track key metrics for content marketing success; regularly evaluate how content is performing in terms of views, keyword rankings, conversions, etc.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field.
- Significant years of proven content marketing experience, specifically executing a program to build awareness and deliver qualified leads.
- Samples of interactive and engaging marketing materials such as web page content, e-books, blog posts, case studies, videos, infographics, emails, etc.
- Excels at using content management systems like Contentful.
- Experience with SEO best practices and localisation. Preferred experience with SEO tools.
- Strong work ethic, team-player mentality, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment managing multiple workstreams end-to-end.
- Excellent copyediting, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of content programs. Preferred experience with content and web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Salesforce).
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in creating and launching content in multiple languages.
- An understanding of cultural nuances within the EMEA region that impact content strategy.
