The Role
The Compliance Data team sits at the intersection of regulatory excellence and data innovation. We don't just "report" on compliance; we build the analytical engine that ensures Adyen scales safely. Our mission is to manage risk at scale through automated, platform-wide data solutions that identify risks before they become issues.
What will you do
- Automate Compliance: Replace manual, sample-based processes with scalable solutions that cover our entire global portfolio.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear data points and prioritized roadmap items
- Build data literacy: Drive adoption of data skills to elevate data fluency, enable self-service analysis, and foster data-driven decision making.
- Monitor Risk: Design and maintain frameworks to proactively detect compliance gaps across Adyen’s global platform.
- Own Data Integrity: Partner with Engineering to refine data structures, ensuring our compliance assets are accurate, accessible, and audit-ready.
- Drive Strategy: Define and support cross-functional initiatives that transition our compliance approach from reactive to data-driven.
Who you are
- Technical: you are proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark, specifically within Big Data using Spark, Airflow, and Git essential for our scale.
- Strategic: you are able to collaborate with non-technical teams and translate business requirements into technical plans.
- Detail-oriented: you are able to pinpoint inaccuracies and analyze behavior within large datasets with a company-wide impact.
- Automation-First: Identify and prioritize automation opportunities, balancing efficiency gains with an understanding of day-to-day operational realities
- You have a background in Compliance, Finance, Risk, or similar industries and teams and understand the importance and inner working of working within a highly regulated banking environment.
