About the role
In the role of Compensation Partner, you will report to the Sr. Director Total Rewards.
We are considering applicants for the location(s) of Los Angeles and Dallas.
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Compensation Partner to join our Total Rewards team. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that support our global business strategy. An important focus of this role is leveraging Workday to drive operational excellence, ensure data integrity, and ensure strategic compensation decisions at scale.
You have a background in global compensation strategy, market benchmarking, and program execution, along with hands-on experience configuring and maintaining compensation processes in Workday.
As a subject matter expert, the Compensation Partner will provide data-driven guidance to People Business Partners and business leaders on compensation-related matters, including job leveling, benchmarking, salary structures, incentive plans, and regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
Core Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Consulting
- Serve as a strategic advisor to People Business Partners and leaders on compensation-related matters including offers, promotions, pay equity, and market competitiveness.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, and Finance to support headcount planning, salary bands, and hiring strategies.
- Promote and maintain internal equity while ensuring market competitiveness across global regions.
Workday Ownership
- Act as the functional lead for Workday Compensation, overseeing annual merit, bonus, and equity cycles in the system.
- Partner with People Technology and Total Rewards team members to configure and optimize Workday compensation modules.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of compensation data within Workday; support testing, validation, and troubleshooting during important cycles.
Benchmarking & Market Analysis
- Lead compensation benchmarking efforts using survey providers (e.g., Radford, Mercer, and WTW).
- Analyze and interpret external market data to recommend salary structures and pay guidelines.
- Develop and maintain job architecture and leveling frameworks in partnership with People leadership.
Program Design & Execution
- Support the design, communication, and execution of merit, bonus, and incentive programs.
- Help develop total rewards strategies for new regions or business units.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and recommend improvements.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compensation practices comply with international, national, and local laws (e.g., pay equity, transparency, GDPR).
- Support compensation-related audits and reporting.
Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and deliver compensation analytics, dashboards, and reports to business leaders and HR teams.
- Provide insights into compensation trends, gender pay equity, and internal pay practices using Workday reporting tools and Excel.
About You

- 8+ years of experience in global compensation or total rewards, with exposure to multiple geographic regions (e.g., North America, EMEA, APAC).
- Experience in a compensation consulting or corporate compensation role supporting multiple business units or regions
- Experience in job architecture or organizational design initiative
- Hands-on experience with Workday Compensation, including setup,maintenance, and year-end process execution.
- Knowledge of compensation frameworks, salary surveys, job leveling, and incentive plan design.
- A strategic mindset and the ability to create clarity and structure in ambiguous or evolving environments.
- A demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align around thoughtful, data-driven decisions.
- Advanced Excel experience working with large datasets.
- A proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver in a fast-paced,high-growth environment.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification.
- Experience working in a media, technology, multinational, or high-growth company.
- Familiarity with equity compensation, sales incentive plans, or executivecompensation
