We are looking for a Social Media Community Manager to act as the human extension of our brand across our key social platforms. You will balance an accessible, bold, and relatable brand voice with the rigorous compliance standards required in the financial services industry.
This role is equal parts community builder, listener, writer, and judgment call. You’ll know when to engage, when to elevate feedback, and when precision matters most.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
- Own daily community operations: Manage day-to-day community engagement across X, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram — writing responses, moderating conversations, and keeping our audience active and connected.
- Speak the language of retail investors: Leverage a deep understanding of online finance communities—especially the unique culture, humor, and rapid pace of finance communities on social—to authentically engage with our audience.
- Act as the voice of the customer: Monitor overarching community sentiment, utilize social listening tools, and gather real-time feedback to deliver actionable insights to our product and marketing teams.
- Spearhead community activations: Ideate and execute community-first events, such as live AMAs, platform-specific Q&As, and surprise-and-delight moments for our most dedicated users.
- Stay close to internet culture: Constantly monitor the algorithm, related trends and meme formats, FinTwit narratives, and rising stars to keep Robinhood’s community presence cutting-edge and highly relevant.
- Represent the Robinhood voice with strong judgment: Act as a critical line of defense to ensure all community communications adhere to Robinhood’s Content Standards and strict financial regulations, ensuring information is always fair, balanced, and truthful.
What you bring
- 4+ years of experience in social media or community management, preferably at a fast-paced consumer tech, fintech, or culturally relevant brand.
- A native understanding of platform nuances (especially our priority channels: X, TikTok, Reddit, and Instagram) and how different communities operate within them.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you can seamlessly code-switch between drafting a formal legal brief for compliance and writing culturally relevant posts on X.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate social metrics (sentiment, engagement rate, conversions) into actionable strategy.
- Ability to thrive in a highly regulated industry, balancing creative marketing with strict compliance and legal guardrails.
Bonus points
- Active participation in, or deep knowledge of finance communities on social, ongoing market narratives, and crypto communities.
- Familiarity with enterprise social listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Meltwater).
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools to streamline content ideation, accelerate creator identification, or analyze community data.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
