Your role
As a Commercial Counsel, you’ll own the end-to-end contract process for a variety of commercial agreements. You’ll work closely with business teams across Sales, Finance, Procurement, Privacy, and Security to negotiate, draft, and execute contracts that balance business priorities with compliance and risk. You’ll also work in partnership with the Customer Success team to resolve escalations of customer claims, ensuring a constructive and solution-driven approach. You’ll help create scalable processes and resources that enable faster, smarter, and simpler ways of working. In addition, you’ll bring creative legal solutions that empower our teams to move quickly and confidently while ensuring that we always “do the right thing.”
This position reports to our Assistant General Counsel, Commercial, and has the opportunity to be based in our Buenos Aires Office in a hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Own the contract review and negotiation process end-to-end for SaaS agreements, services contracts, statements of work, vendor agreements, and NDAs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and balance between risk and business opportunity.
- Make thoughtful, clear, pragmatic recommendations to business stakeholders that balance risk with opportunity, enabling smarter and faster business decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Privacy, Security, Procurement, and Customer Success) to address contract-related issues, RFP responses, and manage escalations with empathy and persistence.
- Research industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) to keep our agreements modern, compliant, and competitive.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, embodying a solution-driven and optimistic approach even in challenging negotiations.
- Support the Customer Success team by providing legal input on customer relationships, helping to de-escalate and resolve claims while protecting company interests and fostering trust.
- Contribute to process improvement by building and updating playbooks, templates, guidelines, and training resources that make legal knowledge more accessible and scalable to the business.
- Champion continuous improvement, leveraging curiosity and innovative thinking to explore and implement new tools, including the use of AI, to streamline workflows and enable a faster, better, and simpler way of working.
Skills you’ll bring
- 6+ years of experience as a commercial attorney.
- Prior experience working in a sales-driven technology company (SaaS preferred).
- Proven track record of drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Procurement teams, building trusted partnerships through empathy and persistence.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, paired with clear and accessible communication.
- A curious mindset with the drive to continuously improve processes and deliver practical, business-minded solutions.
- High proactivity and the ability to work effectively with little supervision, thriving in an environment that values ownership and accountability.
- Written and verbal fluency in English.
