About You

The Collections Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing customer collections activities, resolving billing issues, supporting cash application, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of customer accounts. This role will directly contribute to the financial stability and customer satisfaction of AppDirect, and serve as a key point of contact for outstanding receivables.

What you'll do and how you'll have an impact

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Contact customers via email and phone to follow up on past due accounts, resolve disputes, and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
  • Collaborate with upstream internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues impacting payment (disputes, billing errors, service issues, etc.).
  • Support the application of payments to customer accounts in our MP and financial system NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with the Cash Applications function.
  • Monitor aging reports for our CSP and E78 Marketplaces and proactively identify accounts at risk of delinquency.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on collections activity, cash receipts, and risk exposure.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including AR reporting and variance explanations related to collections.
  • Contribute to KPI tracking and analysis to improve collections efficiency and DSO.
  • Provide input on improving collections processes and system enhancements.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects and audit requests.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar financial role.
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (exp - NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a positive, proactive attitude are essential.
