About the Role
We are looking for a B2B Marketing Operations Analyst, to support the Commercial Marketing team. This person will be responsible for the creating and managing the data and reporting structure for commercial marketing, acting as a bridge between data analytics and marketing.

Instacart’s mission is to power every grocery transaction; and the Retailer B2B business is building the path by offering retailers industry-leading e-commerce, fulfillment, in-store, and ad tech products that allow them to grow and compete in the marketplace.
- Key responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, creating reports and dashboards for stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity through processing, cleansing, and validation efforts.
- Serve as the marketing operations contact, partnering with sales operations to better segment our target audiences.
- Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
- Translating business requirements into actionable audience targeting strategies while identifying patterns to develop repeatable targeting templates.
- Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities and effectiveness and business impact
- Monitor campaigns to optimize performance based on industry best practices Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that help to drive business outcomes.
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to develop robust KPIs and scorecards for marketing performance monitoring
- Produce and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact
- Present analysis and findings to a variety of audience
- Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance
- Interact with and analyze data from various sources and platforms relevant to Marketing (e.g., campaign automation, CRM, data warehouse, CDP, LMS/CMS, 3rd party data, social listening), with the ability to connect and synthesize insights across these diverse datasets.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a decision/data scientist/analyst, data engineer, or software engineer focused on Marketing
- B.S. / M.S. in relevant or quantitative discipline: Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, and/or Statistics
- Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional role
- Ability to build effective relationships with key business stakeholders and form productive partnerships with collaborators, including the ability to translate technical findings to non-technical audience
- Experience building operational dashboards and automated reporting
- Proficiency in the usage, configuration, and management of:
- Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio)
- Analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, etc.)
- Data querying and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL)
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (eg. Pardot, Salesforce or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with R, Python, SAS, or other statistical programming languages
- Proficiency with databases and data retrieval, including SQL, Snowflake, Spark and REST APIs
