About the role
In the role of Associate Producer, Team A, you will report to the Senior Producer, Anime Co-Production, Team A.
We are considering applicants for the location of Tokyo, Japan.
As an Associate Producer, Team A, you will work with Producers and Senior Producers to co-develop and produce anime content in collaboration with our production partners. The goal is to create titles that attract new fans around the world, keep them engaged with compelling storylines and high-quality animation, and introduce fresh genres to the global anime community.
You will help identify and secure projects for co-production, helping ensure Crunchyroll offers a lineup that increases viewership, attracts new subscribers, and supports revenue growth. You will also collaborate with Marketing, Consumer Products, and other teams across the US and international regions to support each project's success.
A working knowledge of anime content production and rights management is a requirement for this position.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Present and report to the Anime Production Committee on Crunchyroll's marketing and monetization strategies, viewership performance, and sub-licensing status.
- Obtain approvals for marketing and promotional plans, usage of production committee assets, and Consumer Product programs.
- Coordinate materials for co-production titles, providing support to US-based marketing and other teams.
- Translate important documents in Japanese and English for the Anime Production Committee and Crunchyroll.
About You

- 2+ years of experience, preferably in the Anime industry.
- Experience with anime content production and rights management
- Experience creating new and outside-the-box, efficient procedures.
- Experience coordinating assets and materials for anime production
- Experience with project managing several production works simultaneously
- Native to Business-level Japanese and English skills.
About the Team
While Crunchyroll is widely recognized for its acquisitions, it has also established itself as a valued distribution and investment partner within the Japanese anime industry. The Co-Production Team is a part of the Content team and is dedicated to collaborating with third-party partners on the production of anime titles. The team's strategic focus is to strengthen Crunchyroll's title lineup and contribute to the growth of the anime market across its serviced territories.
