- Help assess legal requirements for launching outbound communications in new territories, including consent, opt-in/opt-out, disclosure, sender identification, frequency, recordkeeping, suppression, and localization requirements
- Support GoDaddy’s media solutions and ad tech initiatives by providing practical legal guidance on advertising products, audience targeting, measurement, campaign delivery, data use, publisher/advertiser relationships, and related commercial opportunities
- Serve as a key legal partner to performance marketing teams, including support for paid search, paid social, affiliate, display, lifecycle marketing, landing pages, campaign testing, lead generation, and conversion-focused marketing initiatives
- Review marketing, advertising, promotional, social media, email, web, and customer-facing materials, including campaign copy, landing pages, creative assets, offer terms, pricing references, comparisons, claims, and disclosures
- Help support promotions, sponsorships, influencer campaigns, affiliate arrangements, and other marketing initiatives.
- Draft, review, and help manage marketing-related agreements, including agency, creative services, influencers, sponsorship, affiliate, content licensing, vendor, and statement-of-work documents
- Coordinate with U.S.-based and global legal team members on critical issues, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives
- Help develop training materials and practical mentorship for business teams.
- Assess legal and business risk in marketing initiatives, clearly explain tradeoffs, and recommend practical paths forward
- Partner with Marketing, Customer Care, Product, Privacy, Commercial Legal, and other collaborators to evaluate new campaigns, customer journeys, and channel strategies in a practical, risk-calibrated way
- Build scalable playbooks, country mentorship, approval workflows, intake processes, blocking issue paths, templates, trackers, and self-service resources for global marketing and outbound communications
- Identify recurring legal issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement, then help design durable solutions that allow business teams to move faster with greater consistency and confidence
Your experience should include...
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably supporting marketing, advertising, consumer communications, commercial contracts, technology, digital products, e-commerce, or other rapidly growing business teams
- Legal degree or equivalent legal qualification in India; common law, U.S., U.K., or global legal experience is a plus
- Expertise in assessing risk, helping business teams make informed decisions, and building systems, playbooks, and processes that enable business growth
We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skillset doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth.
