ClickUp is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead and optimize our revenue recognition processes as we prepare for IPO readiness. In this highly visible role, you will be the resident expert for all revenue-related technical accounting and operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and building scalable processes for a public company environment. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for process improvement, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact at a hyper-growth SaaS company.
 
The Role:
  • Serve as the authoritative technical resource for complex revenue recognition issues, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
  • Lead the review and analysis of customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and prepare technical accounting memos for significant or non-standard transactions.
  • Design, document, and implement key internal controls over the revenue cycle (Order-to-Cash) to ensure SOX compliance for public company readiness.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion, including complex journal entries, reconciliations (e.g., deferred revenue, unbilled receivables), and fluctuation analysis.
  • Drive scalability by identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and process improvement across the entire revenue stream.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, FP&A, and Operations teams to ensure revenue policies are consistently applied and new product offerings are accurately modeled for revenue implications.
  • Report to the Head of Accounting and partner cross-functionally to support IPO readiness and ongoing business growth.
 
Qualifications:
  • Deep, current, and practical expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO environment with a focus on building scalable processes and controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing or significantly supporting SOX compliance and internal controls documentation.
  • Big Four public accounting firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Netsuite and Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, including leadership roles.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change across teams.

USA Salary Range (OTE)
$155,000$191,000 USD
