Join the team as Twilio’s next Senior Manager, Product Specialist (APJ)

About the job

This position is needed to lead a team of highly-skilled Product Specialists in the APJ region. Your team will partner closely with sales, solutions engineering, and enterprise strategists to consult on complex, multi-product opportunities. This team will scope, design, and validate how complex multi-product solutions fit into the client’s ecosystem and help develop the long-term Twilio vision for our customers. You will be a critical partner cross-functionally, working with Product, R&D, and Marketing on new customer trends, customer requests, and help influence product positioning, strategy, and roadmap.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage a diverse team of Product Specialists, supporting employee development and top performance.
  • Coach team members on value-selling strategies and complex solution design to achieve the technical win.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to set our strategy for finding, closing and supporting complex multi-product opportunities.
  • Partner with Generalist SE leadership to close complex deals and build out programs that facilitate scaling of multi-product solutions.
  • Participate in GTM interlock and PDLC to inform Product and R&D on recent patterns and technology shifts with our clients and prospects.
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and feedback to improve our GTM motion.

*Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach experienced, high performing teams of technical sellers.
  • 6+ years of progressive presales experience.
  • 3+ years of people management and/or leadership experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one Product Specialist operating area.
  • Empathetic and people-focused; able to adapt to varying styles and foster great results.
  • Strong track record of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of operational rigor and experience with building new programs from scratch.
  • Confidence influencing and engaging with a highly skilled and experienced audiences including C-level executives.

Desired:

  • Experience working in an overlay or specialist presales capacity.
  • Experience collaborating with product on strategy, positioning, and roadmap.
  • Experience in more than one product specialist operating area.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in Australia.

Travel 

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 20% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.
