About the team

We believe that online payments should be simple and scalable for merchants. What you’ll do

In this role you’ll work on a mix of new product and feature development and product quality improvements to our most frequently used dashboard workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering partners across several different teams to shape and execute a range of design solutions for our merchant users.

Responsibilities

  • Understand user workflows and pain points, and produce, test and iterate on high quality designs to solve user needs
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, marketing and strategy partners to define a north star and product experience for new features
  • Prototype user experiences for testing and internal communication
  • Collaborate with teams across Stripe to craft a seamless dashboard user experience
  • Conduct UXR to test design decisions before shipping
  • Collaborate with our design systems teams to leverage and improve page templates and components

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Has 5+ years relevant design experience at a product-driven tech company
  • Has strong craft demonstrated through a portfolio of work
  • Has experience designing data-rich UX
  • Has experience collaborating closely with engineering teams
  • Empathy with users and a strong customer focus

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
  • Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work
  • Are a strong design leader comfortable with bringing your point of view to a team
  • Has experience working with ML models
  • Prior knowledge in financial technology space, particularly in payment processing
